Default Vance and Hines and Dyna possible gasket issue

Hey guys,

To make a very long story short, I am having trouble installing my V/H short shots on my Dyna. Gasket seems to fit nice and snug on the motor end of things, but the gasket is virtually the exact same diameter as the flange that is supposed to slide in it.

Where am I going wrong here? The exhaust leak I was having previously is killing me and I see no sign of a gasket from previous installation.

Cheers.

It’s a crush gasket. Drawing it in with the flange nuts will make the seal. Also, get a pick and a flashlight and be 100% sure all the old gasket material is out.

The old gasket is in the engine exhaust port. The new gasket slides into the port then the exhaust sits on top of it and crushes As You Twerk It Down

Looks like the wrong gasket to me. My Vance and Hines used the screaming eagle type gasket. Like this...

The gasket in that picture looks like two gaskets stacked.
