No, don't be worried, Been doing it for years on multiple bikes. Never had one come loose.

I use black finger nail polish for the turn signal hinges, the front brake banjo bolt and banjo itself. Front brake splitter (under bottom triple clamp.) And other various places that are unprotected from the elements. Bear in mind that I'm close to the ocean, so "on shore drift" of salty air is a constant.

Just went out and looked. It's time t re do these pieces again, (after 3 years.)

I also used this to repair a small chip in a powder coated part. Do several applications until you match the thickness of the PC.
