s&s .510 or andrews 26 cams?
Hey everyone, looking to get new cams for my 2000 FXDX. I have a thunderheader exhaust and a big sucker ac, but other than that the engine is stock but looking to upgrade the cams. I've been going back and forth between the s&s .510 or the Andrews 26's. Anyone have any opinions here? Looking for the better of the two bolt in, not looking to do any other head work.

I put S&S 510 E-Z starts in my wife's Stg 1 '08 96". It was expertly tuned and runs remarkably smooth, also the E-Z start is a huge feature in my mind. Even her stock 96 had occasional hiccups starting in 100F plus temps right after fueling up (motor gets a good heat soak at the pumps) and now EVERY touch of the button is easier on the whole system. Had comp releases on a bike of mine before; will never bother again. (I have S&S E-Z starts in my 103) Don't have to waste money on fancy cables, starters and batteries...all unnecessary upsell. One friend has S&S E-Z's in his 88"/124" and is using the stock 88" starter...

Take a look at the Redshift 511s. Slightly more cranking compression than stock & supposed to work well at both 88" & 95". Bolt in, valve train is whisper quiet. More grunt than stock down low & pull hard. Averaging 47-48mpg. I'd been planning going 95" over this past winter, but after putting these cams in earlier last year I'm not in such a rush to do a big bore.
