G2 Ergonomics 1/4 turn throttle
#13
Installed the 1/4 turn throttle today. Very easy, took about 15 minutes. I'm very impressed. It can be a bit twitchy at low speed and rough roads, as the throttle is quite a bit more sensitive. Honestly, it feels like the bike has more power, as I find that I'm applying more power than before. Full throttle is easily achieved without relocating your hand. Very cool. Took it out for a 200 mile ride on the freeway and canyons. Took about 100 miles to get used to it, as small throttle changes that used to do nothing, apply power. Very nice when passing cars, accelerating out of turns, etc. The Biltwell rubber grips I installed with the throttle tube are great. Very soft and grip well. I'm very happy with this mod. I think when I get on my other bike, it's now going to feel like I'm dragging an anchor...

Old thread, but I’m looking to do this, mainly out of COVID boredom.
Was wondering, those of us with a tuned EFI bike with a PCV, is this going to throw off anything with the tune? Throttle position sensor or anything weird from adjusting the throttle cable?
🧐 Or does it not matter because 50% throttle is 50% throttle... you’re just gettting there quicker?
