Default 2004 super glide sport

Hey guys I have a quick question on my 04 super glide I bored out the 88 cylinders to a 95 put screamin Eagle ported heads and 583 cams along with Air intake and 2 into 1 bassani pipes. My bike got dyno tuned and it came back as 90 horsepower with 100 torque .doesn't seem right to me does anybody have any knowledge on this

You seem too be in the area, however you didn't mention what your compression is and I question the SE heads.... There better than the stock head only because they have larger ports but they can still suffer from core shift. Personally speaking I think you would have had better results having sent out the stock heads for a weld up and CnC porting. IMHO....

Ok thanks. I was told by other shops that it should be well over 100hp, that's why I'm asking.

I think your numbers are close to what would be expected.

Definitely in the ballpark. My 88 is now 97". Ported heads, S&S 585 cams, 10.8:1 compression, Bassani RR3, Mikuni HSR42, SE ignition. HP and TQ each between 105 and 110.

I was trying to break the 100 horsepower threshold maybe just wasn't tuned correctly

What size dome is on the pistons when you did the big bore?

Do you have a dyno sheet you can post? I once made a bunch of changes that really didn't change my peak numbers at all, but really increased the amount of space on my graph "below the lines." Despite peak numbers being about the same, both the HP and TQ curves reached a "good zone" much sooner (and stayed there), making the bike significantly faster in most riding conditions. You may be down 15-18 HP to me, but my heads are probably superior to the SE ones (someone really good did my porting), my cams are a little more aggressive, the Mikuni is dialed in pretty well, I have a much better ignition curve than stock, and two more inches of displacement. That's why I think your numbers really are "in the ballpark" based on the build details you posted.

Do you know what dome size you installed or the compression ratio after all the work? From your chart it looks like you need to up the compression with domed pistons, thinner head gasket, and/or milling the heads. What jet sizes did you go to after the upgrades? You may be also running a bit lean.
