Default Suspension for cruising

I’ve got a 2016 Street Bob and had my eye on a new rear suspension. Currently, I don’t really ride any twisties, just long open Florida backroads. I don’t think the stock shocks are all that bad, but feel it could be smoother over bumps.

I may be moving to Colorado though in the near future, so something that would perform well in mountains I guess I’d need to consider.

I saw a lot of good words about Legend Suspensions, but Revo’s are pretty pricey. Would I only notice a difference when pushing the bike hard? Could I get by with a cheaper set for what I want that would be better than stock?

Yeah that’s how I saw Legends seemed highly recommended, but no one really talks about the type of riding they do.

Im looking to kind of glide over bumps for a smoother ride, but don’t know if the Revos are overkill.

No such thing as overkill for suspension cause a good suspension will make riding even in city roads much more enjoyable over uneven surfaces in addition to twisties.. You pay for what you get at the end of day.

You cant go wrong with Ohlins. Good enough for race bikes , good enough for my hog. Rebuildable also. I have a set, I ride mountain twisties here in British Columbia Canada and city riding Monday to Friday. My pace is spirited, approx 70-90mph on hwy canyon curves, tighter twisties maybe around 40-55 mph, hard to say , but I barely keep up with sportbikes

...unfortunately even with the best suspension, the bike will always feed a bit clunky compared to any sport bike. Nature of the beast. Different bikes for different purposes. But Ohlins cant go wrong. Stay away from entry level progressives if you are a spirited rider that values control.

Depends on what want to spend for me decided the Progressive 444's was the Best Bang for the Buck .. Have run with them in the Smoky's and Ozarks with handling just fine .. Are 5 Adjustments but have left mine at 3 since I put them on other than to test the others with a simple turn of the hand ..
