The cross bolt at the front of the fuel tank? Mine has got loose. I also hear a noise when the forks drop out. A light clack. I have 50K and my slider bushing just may be worn. Has done it for a long while now.

looking at the front head pipe and noticing that it’s really no where near touching the frame (like so many other have indicated when their front mounts failed) I assumed mine wasn’t sagging. What I didn’t take into consideration is my exhaust doesn’t have heat shields. Long story short my front mount is destroyed. I ordered a new one and had it expedited, it should be here Friday. I hope this solves it.

Yeah when I first bought my bike a tank lift was the first mod I did. I couldn't keep that tank bolt tight. Plus my fuel gauge reading was always dicked up. Thankfully I only left it on for maybe a week lol

I digress....

here’s what the old one looks like. Is it that bad? This is my first time dealing with one of these.

It's hard to tell without the weight of the engine on it how much it sags, but at does look like the rubber is separating at the joints. I don't really see any wear on the top contact point though.

Check to see if your Dyna has a "fin" on the bottom of RS frame rail. If it does, feel the bottom of it and see if it has any evidence of dragging.

I do have the fin. No evidence of scraping underneath though.
