Default More Displacement for Wide Glide

I have a 2004 Wide Glide with 88ci engine. I want to increase the displacement and have seen a lot of conflicting information. Some say a 95 is max. Some say a 96, but the 95 is better...and so on. Some say a 103 will fit. So here's the question:

What's the largest engine or kit to increase displacement on a 2004 wide glide that will bolt to the 5-speed transmission and will fit without frame or other major modifications?

Thanks for any comments.

Here's what I did on my '05 Super Glide.
Most say its a waste of mone for an older bike by this is the biggest you can go. I think Fuelmoto has a good deal for a 97 inch which will work just as well for a lot less.

That’s good information. My FXDWG may be a 2004, but it’s in great shape with only 5200 miles. Some might say this sort of engine upgrade isn't worth the cost, but in this case it might be. Thanks!

98 inch is the biggest you can bore your cylinders too. 100 inch is he biggest you can go with buying new cylinders designed for that without case boring. You can go bigger (107,117,124) but you're going to need case boring and a different crank

When I built my 88 a few years ago, S&S had a 95, 97, and 100 inch option. The shop doing my headwork recommended against 100" pistons, citing cylinder wall thickness. I listened to them and went with the 97" option. Looks like they've since dropped the 100" pistons and replaced them with 98". I don't know that an inch or two provides anything you would notice (all else being the same), but (at least with S&S) the different piston sets are different designs and yield different compression ratios. It's important to match compression with your heads and cams.
