Hello,
New to this forum. (The post title should say GP suspension)
my bike 2017 FXDLS
Wanting to upgrade my front cartridges and springs. Aside from the substantial price spread what are some key differences between the GP Suspension 25mm cartridge kits & Ohlins 22mm Nix cartridge kits?
My riding is mainly canyon and hard street.
which product has superior performance
Thank you for your input

Reason: Wrong wording
Im running GP 25mm cartridges and Ohlins shocks on both my performance bagger and Dyna LRS builds. Honestly for a street Dyna the chance of you noticing a difference between either setup dialed in is 0. You cant go wrong with either to be truthful. That said for the $$, why not go with the larger of the two cartridges and the GP suspension folks are super cool. Cool to hang out with and answer all questions. They also trimmed off the oil lock rings off the fork tubes for me no charge ( I brought tubes off the bike) and they gave me a combo discount for buying both ends at the same time for both my bagger and Dyna LRS. As far as $$$, Im a big proponent of "buy once, cry once". My bagger and LRS are my keepers.
Id recommend the GP suspension folks in a heart beat. Great stuff, great service and great folks. My bagger and LRS rip the mountains.
Deadly, yes I spoke with Brisa, she was supper helpful. Stoked to hear your experience with them in both your bikes.
i hear you on the buy once, cry once.
Thanks for your input

Deadly, I appreciate the responses, this along with additional research yielded similar experiences. I ended up ordering from GP, Brisa was very helpful and informative.

Right on! 👍👍 Make sure you get the tubes cut and get the tools if you're doing it yourself. Super easy install and they have a YT video on install. You'll dig em!

literally just bought the same bike and specs Ohlins for it only to find out the front cartridges dont exactly fit and modification is required as per Ohlins themselves . Since my dealer is doing this I have now considered legend even tho I did not want them . I dunno but Id like to know what you do . Im new to a dyna and want suspension before I pick up the bike . I literally just bought it this weekend and its waiting for my parts list.

IMHO, Legends are a waste if you want a proper suspension setup. Go with the Ohlins kit. I believe is just removing the oil lock section from the bottom of the tubes and really not a big deal. The Legends have no external adjustments, which means disassembling the forks everytime to make adjustments (which really means most wont and the suspension is never dialed in)....
You see guys sellng Legends to buy Ohlins.... You dont see guys selling Ohlins to buy Legends.... Theres a reason.
