Finally got around to changing out my stock fork sliders for chrome ones that I purchased two years ago. Work on the house, yard, golf and shooting got in the way but now it`s done.
Removed the old sliders, drained the tubes while in the trees
Made a fork tube clamp out of a wood clamp and a flat bar of steel to hold the fork tube
Made a seal driver out of 2" pvc 3/4"T. Outside dimension was good but had to open up the inside to fit over the tube. Used my drill press with a drum sander to do this. Then I grinded down the 3/4" T portion of the pvc part.
Installed the bushing, washer and new seal. Filled with new oil.
Put the forks back on the bike
Fender and wheel back on and done!!!!
