2000 fxdwg speedometer trouble
 

I had to replace my ignition module. Went with a dynatek 2000tc. The bike runs great.
My speedometer and odometer will only stay on at idle rpms. I can ride the rode and they won't work. If I engage the clutch and let the rpms come down, they come on..

Can an ignition module cause the odometer and speedometer to function irratticaly?

Do the 2000s have a variable speed sensor? If so you may want to pull it out and clean it. They get a little metal fuzz on them which causes the speedo to act goofy.

Yes sir, checked that. Looks like voltage regulator is acting funny
