Good evening; a friend of mine and I are attempting to revive a 2005 fuel injected Dyna Lowrider. Were down to the little problems now, and have noted that the low fuel light came on after filling the tank fully for the first time post resurrection. I do not recall if this was a problem before, but it kind of tickles the back of my mind that may have happened to me before we started tearing into this thing some years ago. It has a new fuel gauge, which was wired up exactly like the old one was. The old gauge was replaced for cosmetic reasons. Everything is OEM. The gauge otherwise works correctly. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!
A small piece of black electrical tape will cover that light perfectly.
Well, thankfully Ive been working on micro soldering skills, so assuming that is an LED on the PCB, if I cant figure it out then I could simply desolder the LED and be done with it, but I would prefer things work correctly. Im sometimes willing to do things 3/4 ***, but never half ***.

I'd double check the wiring of the new gauge, and check all fuel gauge connectors for corroded, bent, and/or ensure fully seated pins & sockets...
You could also reinstall the OEM gauge and see if it works... Then you would know if the problem is in the new gauge or the bike...
FWIW... I hd an issue with the fuel gauge on my 2003 Heritage after removing the tank. I found a slightly bent pin in the connector under the tank along the frame backbone...

Good luck with your repair...
OK, now that is very helpful. I screenshot this and passed it along to my buddy, hopefully we will find something along those lines. I did see on some other forum that a bent pin was reported.
The old fuel gauge was swapped in and did not make a difference. Hes going to swap in a speedometer head from his bike that uses the same part number speedo to see if that changes anything. I seem to recall that this issue pre-dated the teardown of the bike a few years ago. Unfortunately its been down for so long I simply dont remember.
