Trading down to a 2017 Fat Bob tomorrow. It has the oval shaped air cleaner on it. Is that considered a high flow air cleaner? I plan to change the stock exhaust and throw a tune in it with my Power Vision. Thanks for any info and advice.

 

Maybe, maybe not. Depends on whats behind the cover. Pull the AC cover off and look.

 

Yeah I pulled the cover and filter and it looks exactly like the Screamin' Eagle Ventilator kit sells online. Just a different insert.

 

I'm not familiar with the newer bikes, is there a brand name or a part number on the filter to look up on Google?

 

I'll look later. I know K&N makes a replacement filter element for it.

 

Indeed, K&N has a high flow filter for your air intake. That cap allows a lot of air so you will not have problems

 

I loooked at the H-D site and the only difference I find between the Screamin' Eagle version and the one on my bike is the insert in the middle.

FWIW, as your air filter is pretty much openly exposed to air all around, that would earn it the description of "high flow" in comparison to the HD normally enclosed air filter assemblies.
