Default Comparison pics - 160 vs SE 180

Hey all,

As some of you know, I just installed a SE 180 rear tire yesterday. Here are some comparison shots. All the pictures are of the bike up on a jack, so its a bit harder to tell the size difference. But it looks MUCH better when the bike is on the ground. I never got any pictures of the bike on the ground for some reason. And I also made the turning signals flush with the fender struts so it looks MUUUUUCH better now. Another GREAT and free mod. Anyway, here you guys go. Enjoy.

Cheers,
Adrian

Are there ANY modifications necessary to do this doan 97 Street Bob? And where is a link to find the SE 180 Tire?

Looks amazing. Any more pictures, or side shots?

I can't really see much of a difference either. I thought it was just me.

Would be nice if you could post some before (160) and after (180) pics. Since it's only a difference of 20 mm,the change isn't huge. 160 to 200 would be more noticeable but I'm sure that would be more involved and more money.

Wow, this thread is old.. lol well, first off, let me tell ya that you can't see much of a difference because the bike was up on the jack when the pictures were taken. Now that I've cut my fender, and lowered it, the tire makes a H-U-G-E difference. My bike sat next to another dyna with the 160 tire the other day, and it was amazing how good it looked. I'd highly suggest it for anyone looking to do it.

As far as modifications go.. I did absolutely NOTHING other then clean up the wiring underneath the fender to make sure nothing was rubbing. Worked out beautifully..
