I got a PIAA, that gives off a blueish/white color.
It's pretty bright.

I use the Sylvanya SilverStar which is similar to the PIAA in color and intensity. I have not used a PIAA so I can't compare the two to tell you which is brighter, butthere are many posts about the two bulbs and many say the PIAA is a little bit brighter. The SilverStar is a bit easier on the pocket book. The problem with these bulbs though is that they create more heat and some forum members have reported damage to their headlight assemblies. I have had my SilverStar in for several months now without incident.

Good point, CCPD.
So far, so good with mine.
Probably 3K + ( miles)on mine and no excess heat issues, so far....
The Sylvania is less expensive, for sure.

The PIAA superwhite is more expensive($40 Dennis Kirk)but it is a heavy duty anti-vibration bulb that may last longer. You can try this first and if you want more add driving lights.

I've put in two Sylvania SilverStar Ultra lamps in this year. They are much brighter than stock but the high beam burns out quick if you keep it on.

Been there, done that...the Sylvania Silverstars burn out quick, I only got about 4 months out of each (2) that I tried. Best bang for the buck is the Osram 70/60W Rally Bulbs, bright but don't pull too many amps that will fry your wires. Osram also makes the original Silverstar which are good too. They're available from some specialty shops (try google) and there's a vendor on eBay selling them.
