Thanks!!! I am very happy with the turn out. As Joe K mentioned, this is the full plating process - you can do this on any metal surface, as they chemically strip it all first. I use Meclec Metal Fabricating in Fresno, CA. www.meclec.com They do great work and are very reasonable. The parts in the pic cost me $520, and my fender struts were another $120. Not bad at all, in my view. I had a quote for powdercoating that was higher than this!
They typically run 2-4 weeks to turn stuff around. The squeaky wheel gets the oil, though.
BOTM would be quite an honor! I'm just worried that black chrome is hard to distinguish in pics...Also, I need to heal up so I can ride the damn thing! Just had a stupid *** hernia operated on Monday. Doing well already, but I'm still not ready to ride...

That looks awsome. I have saw a bike at Sturgis last year with black chrome every where, even the exhaust. It might have been mostly a show bike because the tech changing fluids said it chips fairly easy. I was hooked though, best looking finish I ever saw. I have looked around for a place here in Chicago that does it and half the people have no idea what I am talking about. So I'm thinking if I want it done I will send it to your guy out in California. BOTM!!!
