Default KPH Speedometer 2007 FXDWG

Uncle Sam is shipping me to Germany so I thought I would post to see if anyone has a KPH speedometer for sale that fits a 2007 Wide Gldie. Hopfully not costing an arm and a leg.

I don't have one but like to do calculations in my head while riding. Just multiply the KPH by 0.62 (or 0.6 to be simpler). You could also divide the KPH by 2 and then add 10% and then 10% (100 KPH / 2-> 50 + 5 + 5 = 60 MPH).

I could do that, or just ride with the traffic. But if I am doing calculus while riding then I might be missing some of the great scenery there.

Instead of spending the money on a new speedo why don't you just do the math in your head, since you're in the military I know you are familiar with the metric system. You might even use some kind of sticker on your speedo for speeds like approx. 63 mph = 100 k.

I know you will have a great time on the autobahn -just be careful; I was driving along one Sunday at about 0600 doing about 120K (90mph) having a great time, drove through a construcion area with no one in sight. About a month later got a ticket in the mail for speeding, I didn't see the 100k speedlimit sign. It cost me about $100. Oh, and I got stopped one day for driving in the daytime with my lights on. It seems they can only be used when there is fog. Oh well, have a good time on your bike.

My God keep you safe and bring you quickly back to your famliy, friends and brothers. Thank you for serving our country.

This will be my third tour there. Cannot wait, as I will be getting there right before Octoberfest!!!! And it will probablybe my last tour therer as Iwill have 25 years in when I get back and I think I might just be done then.

I also got my picture taken. It was right before entering the autobahn.

If I could find a "cheap" speedo then I do not have to calculate my speed. If not then I do it the other way, travel with the croud or never let them see my license plate.

Oh, gota say I love your quote....

Oops! 120KPH is more like 75MPH. Maybe your and my suggestion isn't such a great idea after all .

I would just get 3 or 4 little stick on arrows and put them on my speedo at the important speeds. Around town 50kph, highway 80kph, and so on.

Cheers... Ben.
