Anyone chromed their stock weels?
I have an 07 Superglide.
Just curious if anyone has had their stock Aluminum spoked wheels taken off and chromed?
I'm tired of cleaning these damn aluminum wheels and lately they are starting to corrode (little pits).
I don't want to spend a fortune for a new set of wheels and I kind of like the design of the stock ones.
I am thinking of having them pulled off and chromed ....... would solve my problem and look much better IMO.
Anyone done this? Got any pics?

I live on the Oregon coast. Chrome on my spoke wheels doesn't even slow down the rust and corrosion. Aluminum isn't any better. My lower forks are taking a beating as well. As soon as I can afford it, I'm going with black powder coated wheels, trees, and lower forks.

RE: Anyone chromed their stock weels?
Living in the Northeast so I wouldn't ship them off to another state ..... costs too much.
I have contacted a place local, (within driving distance), that will chrome my wheels for $200 a piece.
I will probably go that route this winter when I can't ride anymore, (they want them for 1 to 2 weeks and I am a daily driver when the weather is nice). Man those Aluminum wheels are a pain in my ***! Hope I can keep them up through the summer and fall.
I was hoping to see someones wheels that have been done.
Anyone?
