WHY ME ?
 

Can someone help me out here?
I parked my glide in the garage at the terminal where I worked so I could turn in my paperwork for the evening. I was talking with a friend of mine. I put my jacket on and walked out to the bike. My "friend" was ahead of me talking. From outta nowhere he decides to kick a frigging washer that was laying on the floor and knocks a piece of paint nearly the size of a dime out of my fuel tank. He offered to pay for it which I told him he was gonna do anyway and I had to leave. My first thought was to walk over to his rice burner and kick it over but then again that would do nothing but put me at his level. Can that spot be repaired or should I have the tank painted. Luckily it was all in the teal and did not get to the side panel where the flames are.

I've got a spot similar to that size on my rear fender where I dropped my sissy bar. I bought the touch of paint from harley, I looks better but you can still see very well. the factory puts a super thick coat of clear on them. I decided to live with mine but you may want to ask some paint and body gurues.

bet you were not in the best frame of mind before this happened.... will need to see your painter to figure out what needs to be done.

Find a painter that knows how to fix it right. Your buddy may be in for a few more bucks than he's expecting though.

Man..... Thats quite a kick to get a washer to rise that high. Maybe your buddy should be playing pro soccer.:)

Man that’s some rough luck. Get her fixed and I bet after you give him the bill your buddy improves his aim. Good to be cool, it could have been you kicking the washer and his bike.;)

I hope that he's true to his word and pays up.
It'sentirely likely that he won't and you'll end up in court over it.
