I am going to get this Saturday, but here's my question. I see some having issues with them and that's not a major concern. But should I have the stealer install it so it takes the warranty to two years? Only had my bike 3 weeks and I can add genuine HD parts and have the warranty cover them for two years if they install.... I think I can handle the install as I will be buying the service manual, but I'm not ultra wrench guy. Comments and advice much appreciated!

 

Took me all of ten minutes on my 06. They are the very definition of plug and play. That being said I did have the gas cap fall apart on me after a year or so, but the dealer just popped open a new one and gave me a replacement. We'll see how long that one lasts.

 

Did mine as well and it was an easy install. I can't see paying to have them installed just to cover under warranty. Do it yourself and reap the benefits.
