That's it! Front end clunk on 06 SB fixed.
My Street Bob had the front end clunk/rattle thing going on since it was new and it was progressively getting worse. Thanks to this forum, I learned about Technical Service Bulletin M-1215A, had my local indy shop order and installPart No. 45740-07 (which is just a heavy duty washer),and now the front end feels solid and there's no clunk everytime I hit a bump. [sm=happy046.gif] The washer he took out was super thin and all bent out of shape.
Just wanted to put out a current post on this in case any Dyna owners with this problem have missed the info about this fix. |

What washer did they replace? It isn't the one on top of the tripple trees just under the large nut is it???

Yes, on the very top center just under the chrome cap.

Thanks for the info Grape. I'll be checking mine out also as I've noticed the same thing you've experienced.

Service bulletin also calls for more torque on the nut. It is now supposed to be torqued to 70-80ft lbs.
