HD Intl Owners,
I have 2006 dyna wg which has no o2 sensors. But after the stage 1 dowload dtc throw error codes saying front and rear o2 sensors open-not responding. Did you face this kind of problem before ?&nbsp\\; How come those errors come up if the bike does not have o2 sensors.....I am frankly surprised as my dealer cant fix it.

A wild guess here......
the download recalibrated your HDI ECM to look for o2 data.

May have to live with the codes and ignore them....
or, one of the HDI owners will post the solution here.

Thanks for your comments. I think you are rihgt. ECM software contains error codes in its memory although my hdi 06 dyna does not have o2 sensors. I believe there are few hdi owners who have same mods like me. I need one of them to guide me how to get rid of it.

What about adding the wiring for the o2
and then using whatever the pcIII tuner does to cap off the wires.

The dealership should be able to make the ECM stop looking for the O2 sensors. What they probable did was map your ECM with a download designed for an ECM that requires O2 sensors.

 

I think I agree with Airborne. It seems that the download your dealer provided was not appropriate for your year/model bike. Man I know you have been chasing these problems for awhile. I hope you can get it all straightened out.

 

+1. Wrong download. The one for HDI stage I bikes is different from US. Go get the right one (at dealer's expense).

 

I thank everybody expressing his comments about my problem. while I was searching the forum Sholvehead bob who is a hd tech I guess send me the details of my calibration&nbsp\\; 34385-06 and seems to be correct. but this cal id is being used on hd us models as well. so if hdi models require different model I am very close to solve my problem. but dealer told me they have only this remap for my bike. I will ask them again. for me Airborne is right. dealer must erase the codes related to o2 sensors. I hope this is possible on ecm. I am open to hear more suggestions from yourdside.

I got below message from HD Europe:

There are no calibrations available for 2006 Dynas without O2 sensors. All calibrations activate the O2 sensor circuit and you will get the code. Calibration description mentions that the O2 sensors are original equipment.

Remedy for this is either to install the O2 sensors (the wiring is there) or install EFI SUPER TUNER.

In this case, I will re-install se ac and go back to factory settings. Only se mufflers will remain for Harley sound at least. I gave up for extra performance as I cant afford paying buckss for EFI TUNER.
