More goods from Ace Hardware, of all places. They have a line of "classic chrome" Grade 8 fasteners that appear to have a show quality chrome finish. Only time will tell if they peel or rust. Didn't really save any money but went ahead and got them for the beltguard, handlebar clamp and fender struts. Eventually, I want to ditch all the factory galvanized bolts. Still want to keep most of what's black though. I also removed my tank emblems in preparation for......something different. I like it without them. Also got the chrome switch housing bolts but they came from HD.

I know it's a `59-`60 emblem but I have not been able to find it on more than one bike. Looking through piles of books, just one and it was a custom. It's my favorite retro emblem and it's on the way.

 

thats a sweet emblem, that red is gonna look real good on black.
