I'm not suggesting people do the sort of stunning work that you've done on your Wide Glide, just that having a basic understanding of how these bikes work would be of benefit and save them the from the dealer visit when it comes to the simple things like A/C, exhaust, and fluid changes. Between the SM, the owner's manual, and this forum, most owners could do a majority of their own work...

Yeah they are loud but not in a good way. I'll try and explain the sound.
Braaaap braaaaap blahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, blahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Maybe they sound good to someone not on the bike

I agree with this... everyone says how loud they are and how they are setting off alarms. I'm over here trying to figure out what is wrong with my exhaust, it's far to quiet on idle and still pretty quiet on throttle. I am thinking LAF drags with the power cones...
