Nash's powdercoater is evil
 

1 month and I still don't have the exciting news that my gimps have shipped....
Patience is a virtue they say.... HA ...me want gimps NOW!!!

You've had a set of handlebars at a powder coat shop for a month?? Man, that sucks. Don't judge us all by that shop... I sure hope they're PERFECT when you get them back!

Rounder, I ordered my Gimps from NASH 8 weeks ago, and they still have not shipped.
I'm starting to get a little pissed. I e-mailed them last wednesday for an update.They wrote
back that they would look into it, and get back to me first thing in the morning.
Never heard back from them. If I knew their service sucked this bad, I would have looked
elsewhere.

i had the same experience with Nash. I received the bars after a 7 or 8 week wait. However, after I got the bars, I was pretty happy with the quality. Kind of made me forget that I waited so long.

I was expecting this as others have reported long wait times before... I figure it is worth the wait... Talked to them on the 23rd and told me at powder and will get tracking info. when they ship... Hope it's not too much longer.

From a business standpoint I don't see why they continue to overload their powdercoater as opposed to just finding someone who can handle the workload better.
Then again their powdercoater may be an in house guy or a relative and they want to keep their control over the work so they know the end product will be consistent and up to their standards.
I like giving my business to an independant shop, but , I am impatient if the shop can't meet a reasonable timeframe (like the 2-3 weeks they quote after placing the order)

i had they same problem. they wait till they get quite a few orders for the same finish before they send them out to be coated. small shop, i can understand.

i think you can order them "raw" now. if so, and you have a coater in the area, i'd go that way.

They did the same for a buddy of mine. 3 months and every excuse was because the "plater" was backed up.

Call and whine to Marlin. He might push it through if you complain enough.
