Run wires directly to the battery (use Loc-Tite). To make a quick connect / disconnect you can solder wires to a banana jack and mount it some where out of sight. Use an additional banana jack on the Battery Tender leads. http://shop3.frys.com/product/237909...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG

Default BatteryTender

I would remove the seat first to make sure the dealer or previous owner hasn't already intstalled the pig tail for the battery tender. I went through the pain of removing the battery only to discover the pig tail fished through the left side of the bike! Much easier getting seat back on!

First thing I would do is take a long hard look around the battery side of the bike for a little two wire plug with a cover plug inserted, it could be on the left side, just look around. Or just take a ride up to the dealer maybe your salesman or service dept can show you where it might be.

Also, please remember safety and to put a fuse ( 3 amp is plenty in the case of JR.) in the positive line as close to the positive connection as possible. This will eliminate possibility of a short burning your bike up.
