Default 103" Twin Cam "SHO" dyno numbers

Last week the requisite 1,000 miles was reached for my dealer to perform a dyno tune of the 103" engine that my new Fat Bob was modded to when I bought the bike. For sure it is no inline 4 litre bike, or a match for my 145HP Ducati Monser. But the numbers are pretty fine for an antique, air-cooled V-Twin engine.
Hope the columns below stay lined up when posted.

My build is all Screamin' Eagle parts, (exc pipes). CNC ported heads, 50mm throttle bodies w/ hi-flo injectors, 10.5 HTCC pistons, 260 Cams, SE tappets, SE ECU, Heavy breather, D&D Fat Cat 2-1 pipe.
Numbers are at the rear wheel.

Stock 96" Twin Cam......................My 103" SHO

RPM....Torque....RWHP............RPM...Torque..... RWHP
2500...75 ft-lb....38 HP...........2500....80 ft-lb....35 HP

3000...77 ft-lb....45 HP...........3000....86 ft-lb....50 HP

3500...78 ft-lb....52 HP...........3500....96 ft-lb....66 HP

4000...75 ft-lb....56 HP...........4000....100 ft-lb...78 HP An extra 22 ft-lbs over max stock !

4500...70 ft-lb....60 HP...........4500....100 ft-lb...90 HP

5000...65 ft-lb....63 HP...........5000....98 ft-lb.....95 HP

5500...62 ft-lb....63 HP...........5500....98 ft-lb.....103 HP

6000...X.............X................6000....90 ft-lb.....105 HP That's an extra 42 HP over stock !!

6500...X.............X................6500....85 ft-lb.....103 HP

Pleased with the numbers. The bike pulls really hard and just keeps pulling harder as the revs rise. The engine is still loosening up and I expect it will yield a few more ponies.

Those look like good numbers. Thanks for posting them. I probably would rarely use the higher rpm's though. More than enough power in the middle where I ride.

Know what you mean, but when I twist the wick, especially below 80 mph, the RPM winds out of the mid range pronto, not to mention that the upper rpm range on the big V twin seems like low to mid range for a sport bike guy like me.

Those are great #s but I thought a 103" build was the step up for an 88" engine and a 110" was the step up for a 96"??

those are good numbers. I had the same build when I purchased my WG. Except I had the 255 cams. @ 5500 mine was gettin 98Lbs torque 96 hp to the wheel. It will get better once it loosens up a little.

Formike you are getting good numbers with that build also. I think I need to really look at the Fat Cat 2 into 1

nice! intersting that the hp at 2500rpm is a bit lower but the torque is increased over stock

The horsepower numbers at 2500 rpm appear to be reversed.
75*2500/5252=35.7hp
80*2500/5252=38.08hp
