I wear everything that a biker is not supposed to wear on a motorcycle. I get a lot of weird looks at bike nights, and meets. Is that respect? Hell the f*ck no... and to be honest, I don't give a f*ck about the respect. I ride to ride. I enjoy the ride. I logged 20k miles in my first year of riding. That may or may not be a lot to some, but am I bragging about it? No... do I care? No.. I wrench on my own bike to save money and to learn. Have I ever turned a wrench before owning my Harley, lol heeeeeeell no.. but I do now.

I don't know where I'm going with this, but it just upsets me when people say who's a real biker or what a biker really is. Because in reality, who is a real biker? Why does one have to wear all that **** to be considered a real biker?
I agree with you too. I think what makes anyone a biker is the love of riding there bike. I wear leather but only to save my skin. I dont have a beard or long hair but I love to ride and in my book that makes me a biker. I have friends that ride jap bikes and I consider them bikers too because they love to ride. And they dont wear **** that makes them look like bikers...

Now THAT'S what I think.....I'm just like you. I don't feel the need to dress up in Harley Davidson stuff just to go out and ride my bike, either. And do I care what someone else thinks? Not one bit.

"I wear everything that a biker is not supposed to wear on a motorcycle. I get a lot of weird looks at bike nights, and meets." That just don't sound right.

agreed....do not bash others people work...if a opinion is asked...constructive critisism can be relayed....we are all different....that is what makes life interesting or it would be a vanilla world....that also goes with telling people their price is too hi on their scoot they are trying to sell...blood sweat and time cannot be measured,..I used to see that alot..sorry to deviate...was a pet peeve of mine...and I have a few from time to time...as far as the "lifestyle" goes...I'm not totally hip...I mean..theres a difference between being a good human verse not over a word or two that may have been taken the wrong way....a biker rides...bikers have to share the road...usually the key is lead by example...I went on a HA run with my metric bike..a few years back...I was not told it was...bout pooped when I pulled in and saw the banners...bet my bike got more looks than almost anything there..but all was cool....I try to treat people as I would be treated...unless my buttons get really pushed...lol

sorry..i'm rambling..lol

so in order to be a "real" biker, I need to wear a patch that says I am a "real" biker.....and if I don't have this patch, then I am just a poser.....right. gotcha.

Well put saint, It pisses me off to see.

My next bike/build is going to be geared more towards outlaw style. It's an awesome concept and screw the comments.
