Default My mini solo bag

I have looked for a bag for my Dyna and couldn't find anything I liked. So I modified one.
I got a fender bag off ebay for a 93 Dyna brand new. This bag was supposed to go behind the seat with the groove sliding into a nylon grommet on the seat bolt and then bolt to the license plate bracket.

I drilled out the rivets on the brace and cut the end off that was supposed to attach to the license bracket. I then reversed it so the slotted end faced down and riveted it back on.

Then I took the rear bolt out of the chain guard, got a longer bolt and put the nylon grommet on the bolt. So now the slot on the bottom of the bag bracket slides on it. Then I drilled 4 holes so I could tie wrap it to the belt guard upright. The rubber feet sit right on the belt guard.

So whatcha think. It is perfect to hold my gloves sunglasses and anything else small.

I think its original, and looks great , considering I use to kram a bunch of stuff in my fork bag before I got my saddlebags, and that is at least twice as big , its a cool idea.

Great work, where did you get the quick detach luggage rack? Does it fit right on the same quick detach system for the HD sissy bar system. What do they cost that would work good for me if there not way over priced.

The luggage rack is from HD yes it is way overpriced. I like it because it only takes me a minute to take it off and put the passenger pillion and sissy bar on.
I shop ebay hard for bargains. $199 from HD and $130 fom a dealer on ebay. I just picked up a chrome front end package for $140. It was $476 at HD. I got both from a ebay HD dealer. Both brand new. I got the bag by making a $35 offer.

I love the idea. I was going to buy a luggage rack and bag for my Fatbob this spring so i could have something to put my lunch in for work but I might just "borrow" your idea. Very cool!

Just be sure that bar holding it in place doesn't break off from vibrations or anything...

Looks great tho!

I like the QD Rack also because I am going to get a solo seat soon. But it is not for FXDF's.
