The point is, you exert half as much energy to get twice the amount of work done.

How does this pull the throttle cable further than a grip that already has the throttle cable clips in it? how does it make more throttle with less twist?

um, no not really. The advantage is only in travel. To make the throttle work, there needs to be a 'cam' to pull the cable further in the same amount of movement. It does not make it easier, and if you were to measure it, I'm sure it would be pulling just a little bit harder. Probably not enough to really feel though.

However I still don't see the advantage. I went out a measured my throttle travel at the grip 'cause I was curious.... what do you know, 1/4 turn. The point on my grip that was facing forward, was facing straight up at full throttle. I have HD-X2 grips, but they are not advertised as a "reduced travel" grips.

I would be curious as to what other riders get here, when you measure your grip rotation???

I'd rather have the throttle friction feature.

I like these. If you grab your throttle in a natural position and then to go full throttle your wrist is bent downward and your hand bent backwards. These throttle tubes have a bigger diameter where the cable rides (hence the throttle lock won't clear). This bigger diameter reduced the full turn to full throttle from 90 degrees to about 75 degrees. You can purchase them from Avon directly with any of there grips already installed.

Haha, call me Doctor.. Doctor Frankenstein!!!

How about these? https://www.motionpro.com/featured/rev2_throttle

Just came across them and thought it was a brilliant idea.
Also, The Victory guys are running something called "Lloyds Throttle Ring"... before stumbling across that, I had thought about making something very similar that would work with the stock housing in order to avoid a new throttle housing and the mess of conversion nonsense that would follow. Any reason why I cant make one and try it?
