180 wide tire ???
 

Which do yo like better lower bike or wider tire???Went to 2 dealers and wont install the 180 tire on my lowrider,07???

Did they say why? Do you have lowered shocks in the rear?

It makes no sense that they won't install the 180...a lot of dealers will insist that you get the internal fender kit to keep wires out of the way before they'll make the change, but you can install the 180 tire by itself with no issues as long as you ensure the wires are out of the way...tons of forum members have done it.

Ya shouldnt be a issue unless you are really slammed in the rear. Lots of guys on here have 11 inch shocks and still run the 180.

If you are running a stock height Low Rider, you should be fine with a 180, if (as mentioned) you make sure your wiring is secure at the sides of the fender.

My 06 FXDI is lowered. I had issues with my wiring, even with a 160 tire. I would not have even considered running a 180 on it lowered without the kit. I installed a 180 at the same time I changed my tank and fenders , so I took this opportunity to relocate my signals and the wiring. Since installed, the 180 tire has not caused any clearance issures with this set-up.

Yeah thats B.S. i dont think you can go any lower than mine and i have no issue's.

Go to another dealer. Has anybody heard of this comment on law suits pending? I have to replace mine and from my conversation with the dealer they didn't mention anything.

I'd find a new mechanic, because whoever said that is an idiot.
