43197-04A is the correct # (wide tire only) for the 06 and later 17" x 4.5" rear rim.

Swap the 160 for a 180

I found the Latus web site to be the cheapest after hours of internet searching. Is there a DIY link to replace the rear tire? A buddy of mine down the steet has done it before but I like to read up before I start projects.

As far as I know, Dunlop is the only manufacture that is making a 180 tire for Harley Davidson. It is specifically made for the narrower original rim (4.50"). All the other manufactures that make the 180 are for wider rims.

News to me, as far as I know "now" there are two 180 tires that will fit the original 4.5" wide rim. Can someone that has the Dunlop 180/60B/17 wide tire or the Perilli tire take a measurement of the actual width of the tire while mounted please

dunlop 180-60-17 is 7" wide mounted.
