I laid down my 2008 Street Bob (details in General Harley Chat, 'Laid my Street Bob Down' thread) and the tank got scratched & dented. Not terribly bad & repairable. As long as I need to repair the tank I was thinking about getting a Low Rider tank as I really want to add a tach to my Street Bob. Would there be any issues if I got a Low Rider tank and a speedo/tach console? Mounting issues? Wiring issues? Anything else that I would need to get?

 

 

Worst case would have to runn my own wire/connector for the tach. Even if speedo is different, I can mount the existing speedo in the Low Rider console. Just looking for a reality check...

 

I might be wrong but I think the low rider speedo is smaller than the street bob edition...Use the micro fische from Ronnie's HD to look up the part number and nomenclature to see if they are the same.
