Default Fatbob rear shock adjustment

Got a spanner wrench , turn clockwise to compress and stiffen the ride. Counter clockwise to decompress the springs and soften the ride. Have it set on 3 and the ride is a little choppy. Take my son for a ride who is 150 lbs. I,m 160 and the ride got really cushy. Where should it be set at for my weight when I,m the only one on the bike?

Zip around the block a few times hit a pothole or two and do what you need! I never touch mine. You can turn those fatbob shocks by hand. Important thing is to make sure you have enough air pressure.Check once a week I have 36 & 36 with a passengre should be 3 to 5 extra lbs in the rear tire depending on the weight of the companion!

Try em down to 1. If it's too soft or bottoms out to quick switch to 2. When I had them on my bike I used setting 2 for just me and 4 for two-up.

I am 225lbs and set mine to 3 for just me and 4 for 2 up. With your weight you should try 1 and if it is softer than you like try 2.

The stock or factory settting is 2. I only weigh 195 and wanted to try setting 1. Didn't like the way it rode, seem way to rough.

Changed it back to 2, that's where it seem to be best for me.

If you are 35 pound lighter, maybe 1 would work better for you.

I'm 225 and with the Intiminators in the forks, I ride with the shocks on 1 as 2 is too bumpy for solo, especially if you hit a bump in the twisties. I think the intiminators change the whole dynamic as w/o them I used to have the shocks on 2.

I'm 250# give or take and have mine set to 5 all the time. When my son rides with me (about 120#) we do not bottom out.

1 or 2 for solo... 3 or 4 for 2up. As stock shocks go, the fatbob ones were way better than my longer(12.6") fxdc shocks.

Will adjusting the shock one way or the other change how high the Bike sits?

Sorry guys, please don't jump down my throat...but just to clarify...the higher the # setting, the more weight required to compress the shock? And the more weight needed to compress the shock will make for a "stiffer" "bumpier" ride if the rider weight remains constant? Is that correct?
