any one use 8" apes/z bars on a fxd?
did you use stock cables or do I have to stick with something with a 6" rise?

I dont know what kind of bars your looking at? But i have the 12 inch road6customs on my SB and did not have to change out anything. and those bars are supposed to be 2 inchs over the stock SB bars.

You should be able to go up 2 inchs and make the cables work.

Asa I was thinking about those bars too. You should be OK with the stock cables I would think.
A few other guys on here said the quality of the Road 6 bars are pretty good. They made me a license plate side mount and they were great to deal with. Looking forward to seeing those bars on the FXD. |

road6custom bars are awesome, great quality. I bought them off of ebay the bars and a lisence plate mount and they were at my door in 3 days.

I'll say that I was satisfied with speed and quality too. Put them on a Street Bob

I got my road 6 customs 8" bars in today, they do work with stock cables, brake line was tight and took some fanaggling, I will end up buying a longer one but it works for now...
