Default Harley walks away from Yamaha Warrior from 40-45 mph roll-on twice today

Went riding today with my wife and two Yamaha Warrior riders, a husband and wife team. Found ourselves on the highway and the husband decided it was time to put my Harley in its place so he started gassing it some when we were both doing around 40-45 mph to show me he wanted to "go." We both nailed it and (I'm sure) to his surprise, I walked away from him until my speedometer hit 120mph and my bike was still pulling. He shut it down and gave up on trying to keep up. After I slowed down and he caught back up he kindly shot me the bird out of appreciation. A few miles later down the road he decided something must have gone wrong and that this time he'd REALLY show me... But the same story repeated itself only this time I only hit about 100 mph before he'd given up. Both his bike and mine have aftermarket pipes and air-cleaners with PCIII and no other performance mods to either bike. Afterwards he commented how he weighs more than I do and his bike weighs more than mine. He is a bigger guy than I am but I checked and the wet weight of my bike is 17 pounds heavier than his. Man, I love this stuff. Harley Davidson..... REPRESENT!!! WAHOOOO!!!

I had one not so long ago. They're actually 102 ci and they are pretty decently quick/fast. I think in a head-to-head race between a stock Warrior and most stock Harleys, starting from a standstill, with equally-skilled riders, the Warrior would win. I think the Harley exception is the V-Rod. The guy I beat twice today has said on more than one occasion "I will SPANK me a Harley." As a matter-of-fact I think he's said that at least once each time I've seen him since I bought my Harley. But he didn't say that any today.

a 102ci motor?! You'd think, with the way most metric bikes are geared, that you'd see nothing but his taillight. Obviously not. Sucks to be him.

I read the title and was thinking "Why was he racing a 4 wheeler?"

It's all about power/weight ratio in a roll-on; and what RPM you're at. From a standing start it takes more skill and violence...HD's are built for strong roll on's.

4th gear roll-ons from about 45 to 90 are phenomenal on a 96" Dyna. You're right in the meat of the engine's torque curve the whole time and the thing just pulls like there's no tomorrow.

****, you left me all by my lonesome this year at the WarriorFest to represent. What a lame excuse he had guys.....some stuped *** excuse about a trip to Cancun and wedding aniversary or some such.

Anywho, nicely done there. Bring that beast next year, looks like it might shape up to be a near repeat of the first 'Fest, including a day at the 411 Dragstrip in Alcoa.

The Warrior brothers love this shot, as I defiled the temple with my FB ....
