Why are they ********? They are doing business in a reasonable manner, they made an offer and all you had to do was say no, and tell them to replace it and be firm from the start and they would do it. Of course they would try to get by cheaper, show me one business that would not try? It's called negotiation.
Really dude? They are ******** because they could give a **** about his bike. It should have been offered from the start instead of trying to see if they could just get away with it. What the F is a $150 detail on a bike? You've got to be kidding me. Also, if the "mechanic" did that kind of damage, he should go back to school. Times have changed....
I had some warranty work done, then 500 miles later I took the derby cover off to adjust the clutchpack. Dry, dry, dry in the primary. WTF?!?! It took almost a full quart before the fluid level came up to the bottom of the inspection hole, and the bike was level and on a lift. Thank God I only rode it 500 miles before opening it up. Taking it to the dealer is truly rolling the bones.
Yea just the fact you don't know they owe you a wheel when the scratched the hell out of the other one made you an easy mark...the $150 coupon is b.s.they got away easy...

Jessie, this is the reason we choose to do as much of the work on our bikes as possible. I've brought my bike in for the XXXX-mile checkups and it'll come out greasy and nasty and of course I'm paying top dollar for their "service" yet I'm stuck cleaning up after those HARLEY-DAVIDSON certified mechanics. Screw them. If the wheel wasn't scratched when you brought it in and now it is. Make them replace it. Screw that $150 gift card. Can you buy a new wheel for $150? Heck no.
Last week called dealer, $505 installed for 2 new ones.
Got on line last Thurs, looked up Dennis Kirk prices, the same HD Stock Dunlops tires as the dealer had, His price, $215 for both delivered to my door. Ordered them.
I got them Monday, (3 days). NO tax, delivery free over $100.
Called my Indy, Tues, charges $128 to change both if U ride it in...$25 @ if U roll them in.
I took him my bike Tues afternoon and got her back Wed afternoon.
So for $343 ($215 + $128), Got new HD dunlop Ft & R, and no scratches.
Put the other $163 in my pocket for something else..
