neither of those hondas have over 10ftlbs trq, your harleys got a minimum of 80,its a little rougher on clutchless shifting, wot and just tapping the clutch to shift dosent loose any rpms, doesent trash the tranny.
fyi
have a yamaha warrior with well over 100lbs trq, speed shifts like butter.....not looking for any fights......just that the dyna guy had a legit question and a few people that have forgotten how to have fun jumped all over him because they have not a clue......others do

i dont know about a 100 ftlbs of trq on a warrior, a guy brought one to the track,it had pc3,air cleaner, pipes, i spanked it repeatadly with a freinds heritage with only 95 trq,87hp.left on the windsheild and bags.

well i wasn't there so i would have to say must have been the rider, i would wager mine against a heritage in the 1/8 or 1/4 any day
and if you dont know about the 100 lbs then i would say look it up and educate yourself with facts and not some b.s. because of brand loyalty

OK Mud, if this is caused from "ABUSE" why did mine start with less than 300 miles on the bike, and was not "ABUSED" during the break in period?
I think that perhaps some of us might of got a Friday afternoon, or a hangover Monday build. In my case it is fully documented at the dealership where I purchased the bike, and as I told them (when they said they would not tear into it) and could not duplicate the problem, The next time they saw it, it would be handed to them in a box.

the cbr 600 f4i was a high 10sec bike, in '01 it the was one of the fastest 600cc sport bikes sold
as far as the Harley's TQ, were talking about 6000 rpms where not much is being made...
I hope this thing lasts until Jan 2010 maybe another 6-8 thousand miles, when I can trade it in on something that went through some R&D, I don't care for jap cruisers so much, so I will probably look at a naked sport bike...
all that dose is pull timing so you don't have to lift off the throttle (if i remember right moto gp guys use something like this), if the trans can't take clutchless shifting, this won't change anything

he was a good rider, his 60ft was 1.90s,his best time was 8.57@81mph in the 1/8th. the heratige spun the tire big time,60ft was 2.0s,it runs 8.40s@85mph.the warrior didnt even put up a race against my 06 fxd,7.84@90mph. the warriors specs say 73hp and 103 trq. i assume thats running high octane rice.
