Why didn't I do this earlier?
I've been noticing the vibes have been getting a little worse lately with my '08 Wide Glide. Just for S&G's, I decided to do a quicky mount alignment. I loosened the front mount, ran it for 10 seconds than re-torqued the bolts. 10000% improvement. Did not need to loosen any of the other mounts. I know the preferred method is to loosen all of them, but the bike was hot and I didn't have much time, so I only loosened the front one. Can't see how loosening all of them would have done any better of a job. Just make sure the bike is upright for the entire procedure and re-torque to 21-27 ftlbs. This will be a regular thing for me for now on!

Yes, look in your service manual... it is part of the vehicle alignment... at least it's in my '08 book.
I loosened the front and rear, ran for 30 seconds.. couple of small blips of the throttle and then tightened back up. Also jacked the engine after and took out the front motor mount preload. It was about .125" that I had to shim for.
But yes, this smoothed the bike out, and also got rid of the friggin squirrelyness in the corners.

About 3 yrs ago I took my '06 WG in for it's 500mi service it came back vibrating real bad. I took it back and complained and of course they said that's normal. I asked them to contact HD about it and sure enough they had a tech bulletin explaining to loosen the front and let it run then re-torque.
