Default Street Bob 49mm Rubber Fork Boot???

Do any of you know if there are any new 49mm Fork Boots available on the market for Street Bobs? I know some of the old english fork boots do work, but at one time there were actually some on the market that were made for the Street Bob and then they were discontinued for some strange reason. I found a set that were made for the longer fork tubes, but haven't been able to find the shorter ones for the Street Bob. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A quick search should answer your question. I too was looking and found my answer through a search. I think the answer is Daystar or similar makes the boots which will fit. Try searching for fork "gaitors" as well.

I sure wish there were more options out there in the way of fork boots. Arlen Ness has an awesome line of bootcovers, but they only fit softtails. Bummer!

Fork gaiters from a 1970 Triumph will fit over your fork tubes and just fit in between the top of the sliders and the lower triple clamp. They have a 2" inside diameter which is just a hair bigger than 49mm.They're not a perfect solution though, mine dryrotted really quickly but they were cheap enough that I could have got another set if I really wanted it.Daystar makes boots for dirt bikes that will work but they will have to be cut down to fit.Do a search on Ebay for triumph fork gaiters I believe 66-70 is what you need.

Not sure if y'all are still tracking this, but I just saw a dealer-custom 'bob in Tallahassee that had boots. They looked factory, def. were brand new. Didn't ask about 'em, but got to thinking about it, and I like the look. Gonna call 'em tuesday for more info.

J&P sells a set of 49mm short boots for dynas. They are about $40 with shipping. Here's a couple pics. My bike has been lowered so they would be a little more stretched if yours is not, but they should still be fine.

do you need to remove the chrome seal covers from the top of the leg first?-as i recall on some older jap bikes ive had the bottom of the boot fit into a groove in the top of the slider
