Before I bought my brand new '09 Street Bob, I looked at a used '07 Street Bob on the showroom floor. Very similar to the one listed, no warranty, 1,200 miles, forward controls, Stage 1 a/c and Rush slip-ons. Asking $13,400. I tried to bargain them down to $12,500. No way they say.
So I bought my new '09 Street Bob for slightly less than $14,000 including TT&L. I paid "extra" for the new bike with warranty, but I'm a happy biker!
And I got the '09 Street Bob fender which I think looks way cooler, especially once I move the ugly license plate bracket mount to the side down by the belt guard.

Not saying I want to sell it, but if I ever were too, it would be quite depressing with these resale values now. One of the big reasons why I got this bike was for the fact that these Harleys hold there value well. Oh well..... guess the street bob will be staying for a loooooooooooong time.

Harley has kept the Dyna prices the same or even lowered them the last few years, so it's nice for buying new but hurts the resale on late model used bikes. I just traded my 06 Street Bob in for a new WG, and the dealer actually had some rebate going for the new SB which lowered the value of mine even more. But I guess the flip side is you'll see more folks snatching up 06/07 bikes for around $8k, which is a great deal for them.

My 09 FXDC I purchased brand new, but I thought you buy harley because you put in a lot of time & effort & money on it to dress her up like the way you want and keep it for a long long time. Isnt that why we all buy harley? I dont see a point in selling it in a year or two after doing all the mods
I just found this SB. I am sure you can get it for a lower price since the person selling it put OBO next to the price. That just tells me it will sell for a lot less.
I bought my 09 street bob last month. It had 700 miles on it and I paid $10,600. Still under warrenty, forward controls, battery tender, flame mirrors/shifter/brake. I looked around quite a bit before I found it. The guy I bought it from was easy to deal with, which was a big plus. I would have bought another bike I was looking at but the guy wouldn't take a bank check! I talked to a lot of guys who were jerks on the phone or wouldn't budge at all on price. You have to move a little just to let the buyer save some face. My advice to anyone selling right now is to price it low, have the title in hand, take really good pictures for your posting, be up front with any issues, and be super flexible with respect to showing the bike. I sold my honda two days after getting the harley. I brought the clean bike over to the buyer's house, let him test drive it, had the owner's manual, title, and all records, let him pay me w/ a personal check. Made it easy for him.
