Well, When I got the glide up to the door I had to fold the foot pegs up and after that was done I started to roll the bike up the doorway and I turned the handlebar to the left and when I tried turning it back to the left the mirriors got caught on the door. I didn't really have a proper ramp, maybe that was the problem? Do you have to fold the pegs/mirrors to fit it...I assume you can't just drive it straight up the ramp and through the door without some handlebar tricks...
Park mine in living room every night. Park in the bar when it's raining. It takes a wee bit of wiggling but she goes, even with wider handlebars. I have a ramp going up to the porch soes I got to back her out and down hill, but it's all good...
Yeah, but you waste gas getting to the storage space instead of being able to ride her to work!...I'm going to try the mirror fold and the proper ramp latter...can't wait to see the look on the neighbors faces.
I do it every winter, but I have to take the bars loose and lay them across the tank. My door is right next to the wall, so I can't do the lean thing. It's a real PITA.
My door is against the wall to, but it still measures over 32 inches, and the previous poster said he was able to get his in just fine, so I was using a makeshift ramp that I ended up breaking, so trying to make it with a good ramp I might see a better way to get it in there...sigh talking to people in the bike cover business and in the shed business...If this bike isn't in a climate controlled environment there is no amount of cleaning you can do that won't produce some rust somewhere in this environment....Its either going to make it through the door or it really isn't worth seeing rust on a brand new Harley...
