06 wideglide pre fuel filter?

06 wideglide pre fuel filter?
Went to HD dealership and bought fuel filter for 06 wideglide but when i got home and got the gas tank off it looks nothing like what I took off bike. Called back this morning and sales guy in parts said I was describing the pre fuel filter.so I keep looking and still cant figure out how this fuel filter I actually bought goes on bike. Any suggestions? Anybody got a pic or diagram? My $60 repair manual is 3 hours away at frineds house.

Glad you saw this and chimed in.
I changed tanks last year and either have no recollection of this being a filter or missed it all together. I even reviewed to parts manual prior to posting and didn't recognize anything acting as a filter beside the item I noted. Looking at it again after your post, I saw it labeled as the fuel pump inlet sock. I tasted a hint of crow as I swallowed.
My apologies for referencing the parts guy as "full of chit".
