Default FXDB apes? how high with stock cables?

So originaly I was gonna run 8" straight risers and nightrod bars but after ordering all the parts and preping them for powdercoat, I decided to mock it up and I don't like the riding position. So back to apes... How tall can I go with the stock cables and wires?

Post some pics of your bob with apes please and let me know how high you went.

Thanks for the help.

I've got 12" bars on 2" risers on my '08 FXDB and all the stock wires and cables worked fine.

Very curious about this too as I want to install either 14" or 16" on my FXDC and can't make up my mind...Don't really wnt to extend my cables, but if I have to, I will.
