49mm WideGlide Width

Does anyone know what the center to center width of a 49MM WideGlide front end, 2006 vintage is?? Thanks!

Looks like it is dead-on 10 in.

Thank you ehc0720!

While I'm at it...does anyone make drop on 49mm wideglide trees, chrome with the standard 2 deg rake? All I can find it 3 or 5. Thanks!

I dug a bit deeper as I want to go from my 49mm mid's to a 49mm wideglide while retaining my stock wheel on my 06 Dyna. (custom wheels are on the wish list)

Mid glides are 8.483" (215.468 mm) and the wideglide is 9.875" (250.825 mm)

That makes the wideglide front end 35.357 mm wider.

To keep wheel centered make spacers 17.678 mm wider than stock.
Fender spacers will be 17.678 mm
Caliper spacer will be 17.678 mm,
A wideglide axle will be required as well as longer bolts for the fender and caliper mounts.

Others have had iffy service from them, but mine was not too bad. Hard to beat the prices too.
http://www.casscountychoppers.com/gpage8.html out of Missouri near KC. They have wide or mid in 0 deg, 3 deg, 4 deg nd 7 deg.

Thanks cramil. I'll check them out as well.

You guys are forgetting the most important part and that is not how wide the C to C of the fork tubes are but what the c to c of rotors to C to C of brake calipers. That is the part you should be looking at. The hub you use needs to that the caliper mounts/calipers to match

As I said above. If you are widening by 35.357 mm, add half of that (17.678 mm) to each wheel spacer to center the existing wheel. You will now have to MOVE THE CALIPER IN by the same amount to center it over the rotor (the rotor is still bolted to the hub in the same location so it is now an additional 17.678 mm away from the slider mount) so you just add 17.678 mm spacers to move the caliper in....same amount of spacer if you are using your existing fender. I'm not using different calipers, or wheel so it will all line up.

OK, here it is. My 06 FXD with chromed out 49mm WG front end, 4" over, 3 deg raked bearing cups with 2 deg rake in the trees. We machined all the necessary spacers out of stainless and polished them. Calculated trail came in at 4.3". Bike looks great and handles great.

Have to get a chrome caliper...broke my bleeder screw. :( Have the stainles mounting bolts as well for caliper. 14" chubby apes topped things off nicely.
