Looking for input on saddlebags for my Dyna.I already have the turnsignals relocated to the license plate bracket, and the rear is lowered.Looking for soem stiff enough to be mounted with EZ brackets.
any experience good/bad.
i dont know about ez brackets but i like my leatherlyke bags. you can see what they look like on their website. i had the harley bags and they leaked like a sieve and didnt lock. there are other bags that work good also. good luck
I've got the Saddlemen Drifter bags on my Dyna. I also have the ez brackets turn-sig bracket. The bags are rigid mounted, but it only takes you around 10 seconds to remove them via quarter turn locking pins located on the inside wall of the bag. It takes you a few trys to get the hang of putting them back on but once you know how it's a snap. They also feature a shock cutaway so they fit really close to the bike. There are hidden locking quick release buckles underneath the fake metal buckles on the straps. The only thing I don't like is the locks use a little plastic key and sometimes I have a hard time locating the key hole in the dark. Also, the quick release buckles are plastic. It's a pain-in-the-a to lock/unlock all three buckles so I just lock one. If someone wanted to destroy the locked buckle(s) the bags could be stolen pretty easily. I suppose this goes for any bag though. I haven't tested them in the rain yet so I don't know how they'll rate there.
Leather Pros or Boss bags, they'll cost ya but there worth it.
+1 on the leatherpros bags. buy quality and buy once. They are thick leather with rigid ABS inners. The are quick release and lock to the bike and the lids lock too. Jenni at tri-county HD can get em for about $580. all quick release hardware is included and can even incorporate a quick release sissy bar. I love them.
Yeah Tri-County is the place to go, I orderd mine for $575 and $20 in shipping thats including the additional parts that I bought and I had them at my door in a week.
Manufacturers of EasyBrackets with a complete line of Leatherworks bags. Some are scaled for Dynas and are lockable as well. The Model 112 Extended is a large angled bag that follows the Dyna shock angle. These bags are very heavy and solid and will not loose their shape. It took me a couple of hours to mount the bags to the bracket. Removing the bags from the Dyna (sorry, but I've yet to see a Dyna whose appearance was enhanced by bags) leaves only two small polished ***** on each side.

Just don't get suckered into the cheapo's. I did and had casastrophic failure on the hyway. Buy a decent set that will last. Its worth it in the long run. Any of the above mentioned bags are decent. Iron Bags or custom made sets are my personal favorite.
