New to this site....
Currently deployed in Kandahar, Afghanistan. I've decided to take advantage of purchasing my first Harley Davidson here w/ the deals they are offering.
After a week of deciding what I wanted, I went with the 2010 Street Bob.
I have my heart sold on the DENIM BLACK, but they only have 1 Vivid Black available. So I went ahead and put a deposit down on the Vivid just in case a DENIM doesn't not become available. I figure I'd still have a Street Bob regardless, but if a DENIM becomes avail while i'm here, I can switch.

What's your take on Vivid Black vs Black Denim.

 

The denim does have a couple of advantages. 1 no waxing, 2 you don't have to worry about swirl marks. Past that it's just a matter of which one you like best.

 

Personally I prefer Denim but if Vivid had been the only one availiable I would still have been happy.

 

Denim is easy to take care of and really suits the look and feel of the street bob

 

bob and stang... any details on that fender bag?

Thank you for your service. Former U.S.M.C. myself. As for the question, I like both the vivid and denim in black. Have a red denim Street Bob myself, but I don't like vivid red. With the black I'd take either, you can always repaint.

 

It's just a large tool bag. I've got one on the other side too. You have to find one that has horizontal slots for the straps. Then just run the straps around the fender struts.

 

+1 on the easy to take care off. Wash and go and if ya dont wanna wash it ( i dont wash mine very often) it looks good with road dirt on it, kinda adds to the bobber rat look IMO. I wouldn't have any other color than denim black

All of my bikes have been vivid black. Denim black wasn't available when I purchased my lowrider or it would have been a difficult decision.

Black is the fastest color. Vivid Black is the fast of the black.

 

That is a huge toss-up for sure,and unless your gonna count the yea-s and the nea's and make your mind on a coin toss if our opinions come out to an even number,i'd say wait till you can look at them side by side. It would seem as though time is on your side.
