If I decide to do this are there certain year bags I should look for?

My bike is an 06 superglide, I have and would want to keep removable backrest hardware, I would probably mount them permanently because I think it would look good to put some blinkers mounted in the back of the bags.

Any advice or pics would be appreciated
Oldys, http://www.oldinc.com/oldyshd4extsb6.htm have some hard bags that might look good, fillers and fenders as well.

I used the old bubble bags and love them. Old school look and water proof and you can haul a **** load of junk. Check out my garage.

Tried the Shovel bags but went with Honda bags. I just posted different bags pics and tour pak pics on flickr.

Great job, Harvey..Love your bike!

Could you PM me some close up pictures of your floorboard set up.... I have all the chrome parts in stock and want to do this change during Winter. Any advice and mock-up drawings/measurements from your side are much appreciated.

Really like the way those Valkyrie bags sit on the bike, was it pain getting them mounted? Detachable? Nice work!

Like the RKC bags on the Wide Glide as well.

Krazy8s,
Bags not QD. They are mounted on Shovelhead brackets in pics. I used clips on the bottom like Shovel bags. Pics are in my flickr pictures.
Now the bags will be mounted like they were on the Honda (bolted thru the rubber gromments). I am waiting on the painter. Will take more pics after the bike is back together.

Here are pics of the covers made for the brackets.
