Poor Man's winter mod list
4 Attachment(s)
On average, i make up to $80 an hour (I'm a dj). the problem is I work only about 5 or 6 days a month (small town).
Anyways, I'm poor, lol. I might have about $30 a week over this winter season to devote on the harley. So we're gonna see if I can ball on a budget & accomplish it all. Here is my goal:
Looks like approx. $1,100 if I don't find any better deals. Time to start bargain shopping!! |
wish you the best of luck man, sounds like it will look great if you get it all done. let us know where you find the best bargains
|
Good luck with your project. 16 weeks @ $30 would give you about $480 to work with. If you sell or swap your take off parts for the new parts might be doable. Look forward to seeing how it turns out.

Good Luck with your project, although I would advice with keeping your rear wheel and fender as/is, they look Great already and are in fashion.
The wide tire fad is way gone. But the bars would look Killer, hope they are blacked. |
if money is tight, personally i like your bike as is - save the money, but if you have to choose the priority I'd probably just do the rear fender, it'll make a major change to the look. good luck.... glad I don't have a garage sometimes and park in a public garage...if i did i'd be doing all kinds of stuff to my bob and spending lots of money :D

looking over your list, it's gonna be tough but not impossible to do all that you want.
road 6 customs makes the same exact bars as the ones you have listed, but at half the price. don't buy a new fender if you want a bobbed fender, just chop yours and go with a side mount license plate/stop light. save the tank for last, unless you find one dirt cheap, it's gonna be the most expensive mod on your list when you consider any body or paint work that might be needed. forwards are also expensive, so be like a hawk on ebay and the classifieds here. good luck with it man, but honestly i'd just put a set of pipes on that bike and ride the piss out of it. |

If time goes back again I may dump the Road6's they are good, don't get me wrong but when I compare them to the RSD's in person, the difference is striking. |
I can tell you that a 200 mm tire will fit under your current fender. I like the current fender and it looks great covering a 200 mm tire. But if your wanting to bob it go for it, that should be an easy and cheap mod. Here is a pic of my 200 under my fender (fills it out great)

Bigmikaele, what year is your bike? What mods did you have to make to run the 200mm tire?
