Default LCD oil temp dipstick

Would anyone happen to have any experience with these H-D units?
Search function only brings up Touring models and not the dipstick type.

Pricy at $150 clams.....

Reliable? Accurate?

From what I hear they are a total crapshoot. Some people have it last a day and fail others no issues.

150 bucks is a lot for a gauge you have to reach down and push right near your exhaust when your on your bike to read it.

Waste of money if you ask me.

I had one on my Fatbob for a while. It was reliable and accurate while it lasted (about a year and a half). Then the display quit working. I can't remember whether it was the temperature or the oil level. Regardless, I took it off and replaced it with the stock unit this last summer.

I bought one used off a member...cost me like 75 bucks i think shipped...mine works fine and is accurate...however i was aware of the risk of it not working prior to buying it and decided even if it stops working it looks better than what i had...

That looks good Bob.....I will have to call them and see if they have one that fits a Dyna 103 engine.

I have one and have heard lots of complaints. Sometimes, my display goes blank (which they admit can happen if the unit is exposed to direct hot sunlight). I thought mine was broken, but I took it apart, pulled the battery, re-installed the battery and reassembled, and it worked. This has happen about 3 times in the 18 mos I've had the unit. Other than this tweak (twerk?), mine works fine and is accurate, and I actually love it. My bike runs hot---maybe because of the engine mods and compression boost, and I love to monitor cylinder head temp (w/ my PowerVison and see how this relates to oil temp. I added FCS cooling fans to my bike it in runs 80* cooler which has taken lots of worry out of my riding.
